Burhan Djabir Magenda, M.A, Ph.D., Prof.

Burhan D. Magenda is Professor of Political Science at Universitas Indonesia. He obtained his PhD from Cornell University, USA in Political Government: Southeast Asian Studies and Regional Planning in 1981. He has become a lecturer in Universitas Indonesia since 1980. He was a Rector of National University, Jakarta in 1993 then started his career as a member of parliament in Indonesian Legislative Assembly from 1997 to 2004. He was a journalist in several newspapers, such as Harian KAMI Jakarta in1966-1974 and Harian ’45 Jakarta in 1978-1979
